Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated success establishing and executing technology product strategy at the leadership level
- You are an exceptional communicator who embodies storytelling skills, including written, verbal, and numeric communication
- Skills in alignment-building, persuasion, storytelling, and coaching
- Experience recruiting other high-performing product managers and growing them
- A strong “product sense” to develop intuitive insights paired with an analytical mindset to use the best evidence available
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy and ownership
What the job involves
- Product Management Directors at GameChanger lead and organize work across multiple cross-functional product teams.
- In this role, you will manage a team of senior product managers. The teams you will oversee platforms and core services that power GameChanger.
- Performance, scale, customer experience, and developer experience are your teams’ domains
- Lead the product management team to develop and execute product-led strategies; setting clear goals and fostering a culture of innovation, impact, and collaboration
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, CX and Go-to-Market leadership to ensure seamless integration and alignment around product initiatives
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap that prioritize user needs and market demands; recommend strategic shifts based on changes in the business landscape
- Conduct thorough market analysis and user research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
- Establish and monitor metrics and KPIs to measure product performance, user engagement, and overall business impact
- Advocate for our customers by understanding their needs and behaviors, and translate these into product improvements and innovations
- Recruit, coach, and inspire product managers
Our take
The competitive nature of sports has always been driven by scorekeeping, and nowadays results are often consumed online. However, for smaller teams it can be difficult to provide this information digitally, as they do not have dedicated web development staff.
GameChanger provides a scorekeeping and statistics platform for sports teams to engage with their fans, that allows viewers to track the progress of a game in real-time similar to with professional sports. The company also embeds a live-streaming service into the platform to facilitate remote viewing, helping to increase audience engagement.
Whilst some sports teams already stream events on platforms such as Twitch and Youtube, most do not have the technical resources to achieve this. GameChanger has recognized this gap in the market, providing a simple yet unified platform for sports scoreboards and streaming, providing a fair opportunity for any team to maximize their community engagement.
