Who you are
- 1+ years of experience leading a software development team in an Agile environment
- 5+ years of solid commercial software development experience
- Fluent in at least one language & happy working in Python and React
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Significant development experience with large enterprise solutions
- Experience in a customer facing environment
What the job involves
- The Technical Manager will contribute to the development and design of BlueCat’s solutions in an agile team environment, collaborate with the Development team as hands on worker as well
- Contribute to the development and design of BlueCat’s solutions in an agile team environment
- Work with technologies such as Python, JavaScript, React, Flask, Pytest, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Linux
- Hands on contribution to the code base. (Yes, you will be programming.)
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of 4 or 5 core software developers
- Collaborate with a team of outsource software developers
- Participate in product discussions, influence the development roadmap, and take ownership and responsibility over projects to make them happen
- Responsible for quality, reliability and scalability of the teams’ deliverables
