Who you are
- Success in this role requires the willingness to dive deep—sifting through complex data systems, navigating ambiguity, and pushing through complexity to create data products that drive meaningful outcomes for our customers
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in product, engineering, data, or customer-facing technical roles in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail: You dig into the details to ensure solutions are accurate, complete, and contextually aligned with product and regulatory expectations
- Naturally curious: You’re not satisfied with surface-level answers and will dive deep into the details of the data to fully understand what’s going on
- Technical fluency: Comfortable working with APIs, external data providers, and structured data pipelines
- Strong communicator: You effectively articulate technical and complex concepts clearly across a range of audiences
- Comfortable with ambiguity: You make thoughtful decisions about scope, tradeoffs, and priorities with minimal direction

What the job involves
- As a Product Data Strategist on the Business Identity Solutions (BIS) team, you’ll help define the future of how businesses are verified and understood through data
- You’ll play a key role in bridging engineering, product, and go-to-market functions to deliver data products that give our customers a comprehensive view of business identity
- This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role that combines product thinking, data strategy, and deep investigative research to uncover opportunities and deliver impactful business data products
- You’ll lead initiatives from end to end—identifying opportunities, scoping new data products, supporting implementation, and scaling them across our platform
- This includes evaluating new data sources, navigating compliance nuances, and aligning internal teams to execute effectively
- Drive the development of new business data products, with a focus on data quality, coverage, and long-term scalability
- Research and evaluate third-party data sources, regulatory frameworks, and global registry systems to uncover new opportunities and assess feasibility
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to scope, build, and launch new data products
- Shape and support the roadmap for global data coverage
- Codify learnings and decisions into internal knowledge bases, turning data evaluations, regulatory insights, and product patterns into scalable reference materials

Businesses and governmental organizations can access Persona’s platform via an API, which supports various documents from government-issued IDs to biometrics, ensuring customers are who they claim to be. Persona’s platform also collects passive signals such as a user’s device, location, and behavioral patterns to provide a more holistic risk profile, beneficial in financial and insurance contexts
Recently, Persona partnered with Member Driven Technologies (MDT) to enhance identity verification for credit unions. This partnership enables credit unions to adjust their identity verification flows in real-time based on risk signals, improving user conversion and fraud deterrence. The collaboration aims to streamline operations and strengthen fraud prevention, both digitally and in branches. Since founding, Persona has been scaling its offerings and now boasts a worldwide presence, serving clients in nearly every country and supporting 20 languages.
