- Demonstrable experience leading and coaching others, ideally in a live, time-pressured operational environment
- Sound judgement when things go wrong: able to hold a clear head, decide quickly with incomplete information, and communicate honestly with clients and colleagues
- Humility, the ability to see your own development areas and admit where you could have done better
- A people-first approach to management, with the range to coach closely where it is needed and step back where it is not
- Strong analytical ability and confidence working with data. We want someone who can use data to see real signal from amongst noise, and drive change directly from these insights
- A real interest and excitement for the potential held by AI including agentic workflows, no-code and automation tooling
- Commercial awareness: an understanding of how operational decisions affect margin, cost and client relationships
- Clear, credible written and verbal communication, including with clients and senior stakeholders
What the job involves
- Reporting into the COO, this role leads the day-to-day performance of the operations and customer support teams, owning standards and escalation during live service
- Manage, coach and develop a team across operations and customer support, tailoring your support to what each person needs (total four direct reports)
- Act as the senior operational voice during significant service issues, including high-severity incidents and food safety concerns
- Responsible for our onsite staffing: defining SOPs, working with onsite team members including our onsite-team lead to continuously improve the function
- Own demand planning in line with sales forecasting, and build strong courier partner relationships
- Take a leading role in rebuilding operational systems and processes, with a strong focus on AI and automation
- Drive the adoption of AI, no-code and automation tooling to scale the team and remove manual work
- Oversee customer support, working closely with the team to resolve issues and convert inbound volume to product insights
- Own the design, documentation and improvement of the processes the team runs on
- Represent operations in cross-functional work with Customer Success, Vendor team, Sales, and Finance
- Getting hands on with our logistics tracking. The team covers a 730am-7pm Mon - Fri rota, and this role will lead from the front as part of this (c.2 early or late shifts per person weekly).

Acknowledging that the B2B food delivery market has fallen way behind B2C in terms of digitisation, Feedr is targeting an estimated £4.7bn contract catering market. Adopting a B2B2C model, Feedr attracts companies to sign up and subsidises the meals their staff order as an additional perk to boost employee well-being. This also forms part of the company’s talent recruitment and retention strategy.
In addition, Feedr differentiates itself by curating a set of tailored menus based on the user’s order history, aiming to elevate the quality of breakfast, lunch and dinner orders. On top of that, the restaurants and caterers Feedr works with are low-impact on the planet and quality-assured by the company.
Feedr started off operating in London, and after being acquired by Berlin company EatFirst, is ready to expand its service to new geographical areas. Though it's working against a crowded B2C market, Feedr is the only B2B2C model food provider, a low-admin, hassle-free alternative for busy companies. And its partnership with EatFirst will no doubt elevate its presence as it looks to expand.
