Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical Program Management role
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering
- Demonstrated experience in product development, including commercial product launches (e.g., full product lifecycle program experience from concept to launch). Exposure to software development program management is a plus
- Technical experience with electro-mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have utility-scale renewable projects/products experience and knowledge of power systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to communicate & present at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
What the job involves
- Form Energy is hiring a Senior Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to help manage the development of our Iron-Air battery products
- As part of our EPM team, you will contribute to product development programs driving the advancement of our utility-scale stationary storage products
- You will partner with our Systems Engineering team, and collaborate with multiple Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams as well as other program managers across Form Energy

- Drive product development programs to milestones while managing and communicating schedules across multiple teams to ensure efficient alignment, coordination, and execution of Form’s highly cross-functional goals
- Contribute to program management systems and structures based on best-practices and your personal experience, to effectively integrate with and support Form Energy’s world-class technical team
- Contribute to and execute on Form’s Product Development Process (PDP)
- Collaborate with Engineering leadership to construct and maintain product development plans, schedules, and trackers consistent with Form’s PDP
- Proactively identify and frame key decisions, risks, and work with stakeholders to develop decision-quality options; facilitate progress by ensuring appropriate scheduling, resourcing, and prioritization of engineering workflows
- Assess and mitigate program risks based on development activities across electrical, controls, mechanical, and chemical subsystems

A completely electrical infrastructure is restricted by the inherent limitation that electrical energy is difficult and costly to store. Form Energy, however, have created a reliable battery that has the capacity to revolutionize how we use electricity.
Revolutionizing battery storage is at the core of Form Energy’s approach to making renewable energy universal. Form Energy’s battery is based around Iron-air technology that currently has energy storage capacities and operational costs comparable to legacy power plants. In addition to improvements in cost and consistent electricity access, Form Energy’s batteries are scalable, portable, and safe - offering a unique approach to revolutionizing renewable energy storage towards a greener future.
Although renewable energy storage technology remains an emerging industry, a variety of competitors are also driving developments of battery storage technology. However, Form Energy continues to be a key leader in this space, bagging significant investment that will enable it to build its first manufacturing plant and begin selling to customers. Form Energy's progress is highlighted by a deal with Xcel Energy to deploy iron-air battery systems at two of its retiring coal plant sites and with Puget Sound Energy in 2024, to help the company deploy multi-day energy storage systems.
