Role
Who you are
- This role is perfect for someone who’s energized by building and refining—someone who can elevate existing foundations while helping shape what’s next
- You’ll be a culture carrier, a systems thinker, and a key architect of a modern, people-first HR function
- 3–4 years of HR experience, including experience supporting managers or business units directly
- Comfort with HR systems, benefits platforms, and PEOs (we use Justworks and Lattice)
- Strong judgment and calm under pressure—you know how to prioritize and move things forward in ambiguity
- A proactive, solution-first mindset—you’re not afraid to fix what’s broken or try something new
- A deep belief in equity, inclusion, and building structures where people thrive
- Curiosity about how AI, data, and automation can make People teams more impactful
- A love of details—especially when they make life easier for employees and teams
What the job involves

- We’re looking for a dynamic Manager, HRBP & People Ops who’s equal parts relationship-builder and systems-optimizer
- You’ll be at the intersection of thoughtful employee experience and seamless operational execution, helping to scale our people infrastructure in a way that’s human, modern, and built for growth
- This is not your traditional HRBP role
- You’ll partner with a subset of our business units to drive smart org design, coach managers, and ensure teams are set up for success
- Simultaneously, you’ll own the evolution of our People Ops engine—bringing rigor and creativity to how we manage systems, benefits, policies, and internal processes
- You’ll play a critical role in translating engagement insights into action and helping us operationalize our values through every employee touchpoint
- Be a trusted HRBP to assigned teams—supporting managers on org planning, employee development, and team effectiveness
- Lead mid-level employee relations with professionalism and care; escalate complex issues when needed
- Make People Ops run smarter—oversee systems (like Lattice + Justworks), benefits admin, vendor relationships, and HR policy implementation
- Drive compliance and integrity in partnership with Legal and Finance—ensuring everything from labor law to audits is handled right
- Manage our PEO relationship and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day escalations and process improvement
- Optimize processes like onboarding, offboarding, leave tracking, and policy updates—always with an eye toward scale and employee experience
- Use data to inform decisions—tracking key People metrics and sharing insights that guide strategy and action
- Support performance cycles, promotions, and internal communications that connect employees to our mission and goals
- Quickly builds fluency in our People systems (e.g., JustWorks, Lattice) and takes ownership of day-to-day HR operations with precision and accountability
- Brings empathy, sound judgment, and appropriate discretion to employee relation issues
- Continuously looks for ways to improve People Ops processes; prioritizing simplification and scalability
- Proactively embeds equity and inclusion into daily workflows, decision-making, and team support—making it part of “how” the work gets done
- Operates with clarity and calm in a fast-paced environment, setting clear priorities and managing tradeoffs accordingly

In a crowded market for home essentials, Brooklinen has proven to be hugely profitable. Its strategy of focusing on a vertically integrated supply chain has paid off with significant revenue. By creating lightweight and durable sheets designed to soften after each wash cycle, Brooklinen provides an attractive option for those wanting luxury sheets without the hefty price tag.
From the funding it has received, Brooklinen has been able to invest in its product range, such as through its expansion to loungewear to offer more options for customers. Further, the opening of physical stores in highly profitable locations has been a smart move by the company and its strategic wholesale scaling has opened up new B2B revenue.
