- 3+ years of Web development

What the job involves
- We’re currently looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who will take a key role on our US location-neutral team
- Our Web engineering team is a highly collaborative group of diverse engineers working to deliver new features and enhancements
- You will influence the creation and maintenance of current and future CardFlight Web products
- You will be contributing hands-on to CardFlight’s backend web stack built on top of Ruby on Rails and a javascript-based web front-end (Preact, a lightweight version of React)
- Our DevOps infrastructure is built on AWS, and CI/CD is handled via GitHub actions. Our iOS app is built in Swift with some Objective C, and the Android stack is in Kotlin, both using MVVM
- Design, create, and support SDKs for the Web platforms
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to design and deliver high-quality products on the Web platform
- Work alongside a team of talented engineers to continuously build, ship, learn, and iterate on our products
- Drive technical innovation and best practices required to deliver best-in-class web applications
- Ensure product stability through testing and development of best practices
- Design and Develop frontend and backend features for long-term scalability and maintenance
- Assist in refactoring existing code to ensure maintainability
- Collaborate with Product and UI/UX on new features and updates
- Support operations team with customer-facing technical issues

Its signature products, a mobile Point of Sale (POS) called SwipeSimple, and the countertop POS SwipeSimple Register have grown impressively in popularity across the US since the company’s 2013 launch.
The US is home to over 30 million small businesses, a potentially huge market. By offering software that allows them to turn a mobile or tablet into a credit card terminal, it’s easy to see why CardFlight is proving popular. Just as importantly is that the company has a proven track record of launching products ahead of potential competitors.
