- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting in a high-growth, scaling startup environment
- Proven success hiring for senior and executive-level GTM + G&A roles
- A collaborative and growth mindset
- A proven track record of collaboration with executive leadership and data-driven decision-making
- Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making
- Experience in coaching and developing other recruiters to higher performance
- Experience successfully building and maintaining trusting and consultative relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates
- Proficiency with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI tools to source, engage, and analyze pipelines
- You embrace AI as a core recruiting skill

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Lead Recruiter who thrives in scaling startups and knows how to balance scrappiness with strategy
- In this role, you’ll not only be the go-to partner for leaders across Marketing, Sales, Finance, People, and Operations — you’ll also coach and mentor other recruiters to raise the bar across the function
- Design and execute recruiting strategies for GTM and G&A, building strong pipelines of passive and active talent through creative sourcing, campaigns, and AI-powered outreach
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and hiring teams, defining role requirements and hiring strategy while providing data-driven market insights, compensation guidance, and interview best practices
- Coach, mentor, and develop 1–2 recruiters, elevating team performance and building long-term capability
- Lead executive and critical searches, navigating complex negotiations and influencing senior decision-making
- Drive scalable, repeatable recruiting processes and frameworks that balance structure with scrappiness
- Leverage recruiting analytics and metrics to assess pipeline health, identify systemic gaps, and implement improvements that continuously raise the bar
- Introduce bold, creative, and AI-powered innovations to optimize hiring efficiency while preserving a world-class candidate experience
- Contribute to company-wide talent strategy, bringing proactive insights and ideas to continuously improve how we hire

Homebase provide employees and businesses with time tracking applications, with a range of other HR functionality built in. Homebase automates the process of managing employee scheduling, and also helps companies improve internal communications.
The company contributes to the reduction of paperwork in an office by turning an array of devices into time clocks that track hours and overtime, while also providing payroll support. This makes it easier for companies to remain in sync, running a more efficient operation as a result.
Given that Homebase's customer base of small businesses is not able to pay a lot for its product, scale is the key driver in the company's future success. With over 100,000 customers already, its significant venture capital backing will ensure that the company will be able to grow (notably it's investing in Canadian talent) to provide its services on a profitable scale.
