Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of experience in a People Operations or HR roles, preferably within a dynamic tech startup environment,
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong understanding of US HR compliance requirements, and ability to easily ramp up on international HR compliance
- Demonstrated proficiency in owning the management of HR systems (familiarity with Rippling strongly preferred)
- Experience in administering employee benefits, coupled with a deep understanding of industry best practices
- Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to drive processes and change effectively
- A genuine commitment to the well-being and development of our employees
What the job involves
- We are on the lookout for a People Operations & Programs Manager to join the team
- This role will play a key part in building the HR function as we scale from ~120 person workforce to the next phase
- As a key member of Magic Eden’s People team, you will help ensure that our managers and individual contributors have the support they need to be as effective as possible in their roles
- You will own important components of global HR operations, as well as play a key role in the implementation of programs, processes and tools to support the People side of Magic Eden
- You won’t be scared to get your hands dirty by jumping into different efforts on the People team
- Most importantly, you will love having the chance to help an amazing company reach its next phase of growth
- Leverage your expertise to collaborate closely with stakeholders to align HR initiatives with our overarching business objectives and drive impactful change
- Own critical components of our global HR operations, including HRIS management and data utilization to enhance organizational effectiveness
- Drive the evolution of our HR programs and processes (including onboarding/offboarding, benefits, internal events, engagement surveys, recognition, etc)
- Recommend and execute HR policies and practices in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Manage HRIS and maintain personnel records– champion the utilization of HR data
- Work closely with employees through multiple areas of People Ops (HR-Help Slack Channel, Onboarding/Offboarding, payroll/benefits issues)
- Recommend best practices and execute policies and practices in a manner that maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted resource for employees, whether it's resolving HR-related queries on Slack channels or addressing benefits issues
- Roll up your sleeves and dive into various People Ops efforts, providing hands-on support where needed, and partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Recruiting, Legal, etc)

The total volume traded in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is well over $50 billion, and they have revolutionized the way that creators can monetize their work. Magic Eden supplies a platform for trading NFTs, that is distinct for its focus on gamers and the internet community. As well as functioning as a marketplace, which is the base capability of many competitors, it also employs vertical integration of NFTs within the games it hosts on its platform.
This unique focus has primed Magic Eden for huge success - it moved from launch to Unicorn status in just 9 months and achieved ICO funding of $45 million in 2023. Although there are much larger NFT marketplaces, such as the market-controlling OpenSea, Magic Eden's incorporation of the Ethereum blockchain into its program (it initially only used the smaller Solana) indicates that it may be set to take on its older, more established competitors.
