Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience working in a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP) using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
- Experience scripting using Python, Bash
- Expert knowledge of various CI/CD workflows using Github Actions, CircleCI and Bitrise
- Knowledge of security best practices and system monitoring tools like DataDog, Sentry, Cloudflare
- Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
Desirable
- Previous experience working at a hyper-growth startup
- 5+ years of Dev-ops experience
- Experience building multi-cloud strategy
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, collaborative environment
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer specializing in Terraform, Kubernetes and Python to join our team
- You will help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our platform, ensuring fast, reliable deployments while keeping our cloud environments scalable and secure
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for web, backend, and mobile applications
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters
- Utilize Terraform to build and maintain infrastructure as code across in AWS
- Implement automation scripts and tooling to enhance operational efficiency and system performance
- Leverage the latest AWS services to build secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments
- Set up advanced monitoring, logging, and security practices to ensure system reliability and integrity, leveraging DataDog, Cloudflare and CloudWatch
- Work closely with development teams to promote DevOps best practices and drive innovation
Our take
Co-founded by baseball Hall of Fame awardee Derek Jeter, Arena Club was established in 2021 and certainly has a lot of publicity behind it within the sports community. Rightly so, following the trend of physical businesses moving to digital, Arena Club is transforming the way that trading cards are evaluated and traded within the hobby's community.
NFTs, on-chain valuations, and digital collector showrooms abound, Arena Club received substantial Series A funding in December 22 and will use it to grow its employees and add functionality to its platform.
Arena Club’s Beta success is thanks to the savvy melding of sports talent backing and machine learning technology, allowing for cards to be graded virtually for inclusion and sale on the website. The company is well set to see success, being set within a market estimated to grow by $6.7 billion between 2022 and 2026.
