What the job involves

The Executive Assistant will be the ultimate partner for an Executive leading a large global team. You will be responsible for keeping their calendar, coordinating travel and ensuring they are prepared for meetings, conferences etc
As our Office Coordinator, you will have the responsibility of overseeing and managing all office-related activities at our London location. You take pride in thinking, planning & acting ahead, so that any colleague, from new hire to Management, feels at home at our offices and is provided with support & service for them to do their respective jobs at the highest standard
You will become part of the global office & facilities team, working together with other office managers, facility managers, receptionists, and executive assistants
Understanding the needs and characteristics of people with whom you work with
Being the point of contact for company employees/clients and manage information flow
Managing daily schedule (prepare and set up meetings, travel, speaking engagements)
Manage office operations and ensuring appropriate equipment & information is available for each meeting
Assisting with the development and preparation of information and materials for meetings and presentations
Acting independently as an operations leader, with a good decision-making process

Mendix’s low-code software helps companies build their own custom software applications more quickly and efficiently.

It was founded in 2005 and didn't get much traction, only raising its first round of funding in 2011. Since then, the amount of software being built has exploded, giving Mendix a market to grow into.

Research company Gartner predicts low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity by 2024.

Siemens, one of the largest industrial companies, acquired Mendix in August 2018. Since then, Mendix has been developing new low-code applications, such as connectors for Amazon Web Services, staying in line with the increased interest in low-code tech.
