Manager of IT Operations, Cision

• Education: First-level and/or advanced university degree preferred
• Typical experience: 8+ years in related role or experience including 2+ years in management
• Demonstrated experience in IT operations, service delivery, or infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, applications, and service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• Proven leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across technical and business functions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, and projects in a dynamic environment
• Actual experience may vary depending on role complexity, geography, and internal development opportunities or a comparable mix of training, education, and experience

• The Manager, IT Operations is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and oversight of IT operations to ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the organization’s technology environment
• This role manages teams, processes, and services that support infrastructure, systems, applications, and end-user technologies
• Partners with Engineering, Information Security, and business stakeholders to align IT operations with business objectives and deliver high-quality service
• Lead IT operations teams, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to support organizational goals
• Oversee daily operations of infrastructure, systems, applications, and IT service management (ITSM) functions
• Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability through monitoring, maintenance, and incident response
• Manage IT service delivery processes, including incident, problem, and change management
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards for operations, security, and compliance
• Partner with technology and business leaders to align operational priorities with strategic initiatives
• Develop, manage, and optimize budgets, vendor relationships, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and adoption of best practices
• Prepare and present operational metrics, performance reports, and risk assessments to leadership
