Role

Who you are

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing automation, CRM, or B2B SaaS company, with at least 3 years in an Analyst Relations role. Agency experience and enterprise software experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or related discipline
  • Strong office computing skills - Slack, Google Suite, etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - communicate effectively with analysts and management professionals both internal and external
  • Ability to work in a small team environment, but also work effectively with all cross-organizational functions
  • Must have the ability to juggle multiple high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • High energy, enthusiastic team-player

What the job involves

  • As part of Klaviyo's product marketing team, as an Analyst Relations Manager, you will own the Klaviyo relationship with key industry analysts
  • You will work closely with other members of the marketing, product, and sales teams, and cross-functional groups to advance Klaviyo's position as a leading marketing automation and customer data platform with the analyst community
  • You will be responsible for driving strategic programs to top-tier industry analysts
  • Key responsibilities of this business critical role include push and pull programs with key analysts that result in Klaviyo’s positive market position; including effective communication of vision, strategy, product direction, customer success and competitive position
  • Build and nurture relationships with Tier 1 analysts. This may involve planning strategic consulting engagements, quarterly outreach; invitations to Klaviyo-sponsored events, face-to-face meetings at Conferences/Symposiums
  • Build internal consensus for corporate-wide programs through briefings to internal organizations
  • Verify and communicate key messages within the organization and out to the analyst community
  • Prioritize multiple tasks effectively and perform a variety of deadline driven projects
  • Build and maintain proactive relationships with analysts
  • Manage incoming analyst requests
  • Coordinate briefings and demos
  • Manage company presence at analyst conferences
  • Monitor, analyze and distribute analyst reports
  • Assist with internal requests for analyst research and information
  • Project manage multiple, simultaneous, short- and long-duration projects
  • Maintain various internal calendars and tracking documents
  • Manage analyst contracts, coordinating employee access to reports, developing appropriate briefing materials, and responding to all incoming analyst requests
  • Develop / maintain relationships with analysts by writing / submitting content for analyst reports with assistance from product marketing and senior management, and by participating in events such as Analyst & strategy days
  • Manage all Tier 2 & 3 analyst relationships and interactions

Operating primarily within the retail and eCommerce industry, Klaviyo aims to solve this by offering a tool that brings together analytics and messaging. This allows companies to bring all of their first-party data into a single platform to get a deep understanding of their customers and then activate that data to deliver highly-targeted, personalised communications through email and SMS. In the process, Klaviyo's customers get a deep understanding of their consumers.

Klaviyo is a fast-growing company mainly due to its business model - the firm offers a concrete ROI for Klaviyo’s clients if the software persuades customers to make purchases by treating different types of customers differently. An IPO in 2023 has led to Klaviyo's release of Klaviyo AI, which empowers businesses to unlock revenue-driving opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences across channels. Still in its early days of public listing, it will be interesting to see how Klaviyo fares in the years to come.
