Senior Software Engineer, Quora

• 5+ years of experience working with large scale codebases and systems
• 3+ years experience in Python, Java, C++ or similar programming language

• We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to contribute to Poe, our rapidly growing AI product
• On the Creators team, you’ll have the thrilling opportunity to build cutting-edge features from the ground up as part of a team focused on enhancing our Developer API and enabling third-party developers
• Example projects include adding feature support to our external developer APIs and support the expansion of our developer ecosystem
• You’ll play a key role in shaping how developers deploy bots on the platform and consume our APIs, ensuring new functionality is intuitive, impactful, and delivers a seamless end-to-end experience
• In this role, you'll help plan and implement new product features, contribute across the stack, and take shared ownership of the cross-functional development cycle
• Partner with cross-functional teams (design, product, data science, QA, and engineering) to advise on product roadmap and create innovative features and developer experiences with our APIs
• Rapidly prototype and implement new product features from ideation to production, using modern web technologies and best practices for performance and reliability
• Collaborate closely with early access developers to deliver scalable and efficient API features
• Be a champion for both developer experience and for sustainable, scalable code practices
• Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure Poe provides a reliable and high quality product
