- Demonstrable experience within an IT Manager level position, with a focus on technical roles
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT Management, Management Information Systems, System Administration, or equivalent

What the job involves
- Join our dynamic IT team at Kepler Interactive as a Group IT Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing and optimising IT operations at both the publisher and studio levels
- In this key position, you'll leverage your extensive technical expertise to provide exceptional end-user support, resolve complex IT issues, streamline processes, and lead innovative IT projects

- Provide expert technical support and manage IT operations, ensuring efficient resolution of hardware, software, and network-related issues within established service-level agreements
- Collaborate with senior IT leaders and external vendors for issue escalation and resolution
- Identify and address technical requirements, workflows, and technology-related challenges; propose and develop comprehensive solutions
- Advocate for IT needs for both office-based and remote employees
- Develop and deliver advanced technical training programs, conduct user training sessions, and deploy phishing and security training initiatives
- Work with the People Team to ensure smooth technical onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain and enhance existing onboarding workflow automation
- Ensure appropriate equipment allocation and permissions management
- Oversee the procurement, tracking, and disposal of IT assets
- Manage software licensing, procurement, cost analysis, and audits
- Maintain vendor relationships, contracts, and licensing renewals
- Install, support, repair, and maintain advanced computer systems and servers
- Monitor performance metrics and respond to service outages
- Ensure timely patching of operating systems and third-party applications
- Lead and own technically complex IT projects, ensuring accountability for milestones and deliverables
- Implement innovative technologies and practice effective stakeholder management
Application process
- For the IT Manager role we plan to have 3 stages of interview, below we have outlined what you can expect from, each:
- Screening - we know when submitting your application you are providing an overview into you via a CV, and in turn you're applying based on a description, which is why all shortlisted candidates will have a 20 - 30 minute screening call with Jess Pearce, People Advisor, offering you the chance to ask any questions you might have, learn more about Kepler and the role, whilst we in turn learn more about you
- Stage 1: your first interview will be with the hiring manager, Jarryd Anderson, Group IT Director. Here we'll be deep diving into your technical IT experience. Jarryd will be able to answer any questions specific to the role
- Stage 2: you will then meet with Welly Mavem, Office Manager and Carli Niemann, Finance Director, who are both based in the London office and, if successful, you would support and work closely with. The focus of this interview will be to assess your alignment with our values and ways of working, whilst giving you more insight into what it would feel like to work at Kepler, our culture, and in turn, provide you with the chance to ask non-IT team members their experience at Kepler
- Stage 3: for the last interview, you’ll meet with Olivier Gaertner, Head of Technology and Samuel Lee, COO. This will be split between additional technical questions and the chance to share more with you about our direction as a company, our vision mission and goals, and answer any final questions you have
- Please be aware that there may be some slight changes to the interview teams and order of interviews depending on availability; we will give you full details with ample time ahead of each conversation

Our take
Gaming, like films and TV is increasingly dominated by big-name studios and franchises. But Kepler Interactive is on a mission to change that, with its co-ownership model that allows smaller studios greater creative freedom over their output.
Its model allows for studio freedom, in some ways mimicking the freedom granted by Sweden’s Embracer (although Embracer doesn’t give studios co-ownership) which has grown into Europe’s largest video game company. Rewarding creative freedom seems to pay off, with an 81 score on meteoritic for 2022 release Sifu, and real anticipation for its upcoming open-world adventure Tchia.
GamingIndustry.biz awarded Kepler Interactive best place to work in the UK in 2022, and in 2023 reported its annual revenue milestone of $50 million. The success of early releases positions it well to cement its place in the gaming landscape going forward.
