Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in brand/product marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successful brand strategy development and execution in a relevant industry
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform marketing decisions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Creative thinker with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics
What the job involves
- As Head of Brand and Corporate Marketing at Flex, you will be responsible for developing and executing the overarching brand strategy to enhance and maintain the company’s reputation and market presence
- This role requires a deep understanding of brand and creative management, corporate marketing, and strategic communication, with a focus on fintech and consumer financial services
- You will drive engagement and build trust between Flex’s leadership team, partners, industry stakeholders, and the wider market through cohesive and impactful brand initiatives
- Lead the creation and implementation of the overall brand strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends and consistency in brand voice
- Drive all corporate marketing activities to strengthen the brand vision, spearhead strategic initiatives, and enhance market recognition
- Develop and implement branding strategies that clearly define market positioning and product differentiation, including competitive analysis
- Collaborate with Product teams to conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and emerging trends, leveraging insights to refine brand and product strategies
- Partner with User Experience and Design teams to create an integrated creative strategy for both consumer and partner audiences across all marketing platforms and channels
- Champion the development of innovative and impactful creative concepts that resonate with target audiences and elevate the brand’s presence
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team, promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability
- Work closely with product development, sales, and customer success teams to ensure consistent messaging and cohesive marketing strategies throughout the organization
- Establish KPIs to track the effectiveness of brand marketing efforts, regularly reporting on outcomes and refining strategies as needed
Our take
Many people struggle to pay their rent every month, with a variety of bills hitting their bank accounts simultaneously. Whilst many of these people earn enough money to cover their bills, the inflexible nature of monthly bills can make the all-in-one payment a harder obstacle.
Flex provides a mobile application for the flexible payment of rent, allowing users to pay their landlords through flexible payment plans, reschedule payments when necessary, and protect their funds through Overdraft Protection. The company achieves this by partnering with estate agents and paying their resident's bills upfront, taking on the challenges that landlords would normally have due to late payments.
Flex has experienced extremely rapid growth since its founding which has caused some issues, as it struggled to keep up with the surge in new customers. Having made improvements to its product and scaled its customer service team, it is set to continue providing a service that has come to be highly valued by both tenants and landlords.
