Who you are
- We are seeking an experienced Analytics Lead to elevate our data strategy and team at Future
- This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who can drive insights, mentor top talent, and directly influence business outcomes through data
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data science, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and modern data platforms (Looker, dbt, Snowflake)
- A strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and best practices for data management in large, complex organizations
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives, and meet deadlines
- A passion for using data to drive business outcomes and improve operational efficiency
- Strong leadership skills with a coaching mindset focused on team growth and empowerment
What the job involves
- As our Data Lead, you'll balance strategic leadership with direct analytical work, empowering your team to unlock critical business intelligence
- Actively coach and develop a high-performing data team, providing hands-on mentorship and technical guidance
- Directly contribute to complex analytical projects, demonstrating best practices through your own work
- Drive business strategy by translating data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and develop innovative data solutions
- Create a culture of continuous learning, encouraging team members to expand their analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Design and implement critical business metrics that provide clear performance visibility
- Develop intuitive dashboards and self-service data models that democratize data access across the organization
- Mentor team members in advanced analytical techniques, data storytelling, and stakeholder communication
Our take
An increasing number of people are becoming unhealthy as a result of their lifestyle choices or a lack of motivation. Unfortunately not everyone feels like going to the gym. Future offers one-on-one digital training with fitness coaches at home, the gym, or on-the-go. It wants to make sure that people can exercise anywhere, at any time, and that they keep up with a good fitness program.
Future pairs its clients with coaches who create a complete training plan based around the client’s goals and schedule. Each week, they’ll have new guided workouts in the Future app. The company uniques uses technology, such as sending the client an Apple Watch for easy tracking of progress. Its focus is on consumer experience and intimacy, connecting with its users and expressing that it cares about their well-being.
The company faces competition from Centr, Aaptiv, Fitocracy, Sworkit in a global digital fitness market expected to reach $26 billion by 2028. Its 2022 Series C funding will be invested into accelerating its product development efforts whilst pushing to boost its revenue in the coming years.
