Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of server-side web development experience
- Strong problem-solving mentality
- Knowledge of full-cycle web development systems, networks, software design, and operations
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate across the organization
- Experience with server-side systems handling high-volume datasets
- Knowledge of web system architectures requiring security, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience validating high-quality, consumer-facing applications and critical datasets
Desirable
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Go, Java (Spring/Hibernate), Node.js, React
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS SQS, S3, Elasticsearch

What the job involves
- The Creative BackEnd team analyzes real-time TV advertising data, combining survey and ad data to deliver actionable insights to clients via APIs and reporting. We build and maintain tools for survey execution, ad management, real-time calculations, and AI-powered applications.
- As part of this team, you will work closely with R&D to establish entirely new standards of value in the advertising industry and help deliver innovative features that have never existed before
- Design and develop web applications and services with high volatility and performance in a microservices architecture
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Front-End, and SRE teams, including participation in integration testing
- Gain a deep understanding of legacy code and architecture to design and implement new features
- Create, maintain, and take full ownership of applications and their code, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Learn new languages and frameworks quickly to meet evolving business needs
- Apply knowledge of full-cycle web development, software design, networking, and operations to adapt to new technologies
- Validate critical datasets and consumer-facing applications for accuracy and quality

New streaming platforms and CTV provide novel data that shows great potential to improve advertising engagement. However, information such as how many times an ad was aired and watched, whether viewers were captivated, and how relevant it is to their viewing preferences can still be difficult to access.
iSpot.tv provides an ad measurement platform for TV, streaming platforms, and DSPs, allowing businesses to measure the success of their marketing campaigns in real time to fuel rapid optimization. The platform provides information such as brand recognition, purchase intent, likeability, and audience relevance, allowing businesses to benchmark this information against competitors to reduce wasted advertising spend and increase impressions. Over $500 billion of ad spend has been measured on the platform with almost 40 billion conversions attributed to iSpot.tv's service.
Whilst other marketing platforms are tackling similar obstacles to iSpot.tv, the company uniquely categorizes its data into insights that are easily understood and comparable relative to competitors. Furthermore, the company has ensured that its services are integrated with other 300 major streaming platforms and DSPs, futureproofing itself for the new wave of TV viewers.
