Role
Who you are
- Experience with writing production quality code adhering to software best practices
- Strong working knowledge of Python and/or Go. Some proficiency with shell scripting is also preferable
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices including git branching, automated testing and the establishment of automated deployment pipelines
- Proficiency with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Experience of data engineering techniques, data pipelines and metadata
- Curious technologist and appreciate opportunities to work outside your knowledge base and expertise
- An effective collaborator who enjoys sharing knowledge and sees feedback as a way to grow and prosper
What the job involves
- Developing and supporting cloud ready services, including, data catalogue and data pipeline infrastructure
- Collaborating with solution delivery teams, gathering technical requirements and developing reusable tools to increase their efficiency and effectiveness
- Participating in every aspect of the engineering workflow. In addition to writing code, you will do code reviews, prototyping, brainstorming concepts, technology selection, design and documentation
- Supporting our existing tools and services by fixing defects and identifying areas for improvement
- Marketing and sharing the value the team is delivering via demos, clinics and release overview sessions
