Who you are
- Experience working in a consultative HR Business Partner role for a technology focused organization

- You’re a textbook of information when it comes to knowing HR law and regulations, it would be a plus if you have experience with employment in multiple provinces

- You are comfortable with a high-volume workload and are happy to jump in when needed
What the job involves
- Ecobee’s world class HR team is looking for a HR Business Partner to provide guidance and advise our ever-growing hive
- This role will support our Sales, Marketing, and Finance business units
- As an HR Business Partner at ecobee, you will have the opportunity to work on a number of matters related to employee engagement, performance management, compensation and employee relations
- In this role, you will partner with your client groups and get to work closely with our greater HR team
- Reporting to our Director of HR, we are looking for someone innovative who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and can roll up their sleeves to help make ecobee the best place to work
- You will play a strong role in recognizing and supporting a performance driven culture with a focus on talent management, coaching and mentoring leaders (from first time managers to seasoned executives) and complex employee relations
- Understanding business goals, you will recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to support business objectives, productivity and development of HR within our teams
- Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to help develop, retain, and engage high potential and high performing ecopeeps
- With a hands-on approach, you will work with our employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
Application process
- A 30-minute phone call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team
- A first-round virtual interview with the Hiring Manager
- For the final interview, you can expect a final loop interview with two HRBPs (expect technical approach and ability questions) and a meeting with two HR leaders for behavioral and situational questions for core values alignment
- We conduct our interviews and onboarding sessions primarily through video
