Staff AI Product Engineer, Amplitude

• You have 5+ years of fullstack engineering experience
• You care deeply about design, usability, and building products people love
• You have strong product intuition and proactively identify improvements without being asked
• You’re comfortable moving fast and making smart tradeoffs
• You’ve worked in early-stage or zero-to-one teams before
• You’re curious about AI and excited to shape how it gets surfaced to users

• The AI Team at Amplitude is creating new product experiences powered by intelligent agents — but we care just as much about how they show up in the UI as we do about the backend
• You’ll own experiences end-to-end, from system design to pixel polish, and help define what “usable” AI feels like
• You’ll be part of a small, scrappy, high-context team working across the entire LLM stack — from prompt design to infra to monitoring to customer-facing UX
• We move fast, own our work, and prioritize quality + learning over throwing models at the wall
• It’s ambitious, but we think this team has the potential to build something that becomes bigger than Amplitude’s core business in a short period of time. And we have the support of the company to do that
• Build fullstack features with heavy frontend and UX ownership
• Craft thoughtful, fast, responsive UI components that interact with LLMs and agents
• Work closely with backend engineers to build bridges into orchestration and infra
• Pair with PMs and designers to rapidly iterate on new ideas and prototypes
• Help define best practices for AI UX — what does great prompting, feedback, and fallback look like?
• Own the end-user experience and obsess over polish
