Role
Who you are
- Curiosity and a desire to learn, especially in the areas of data and technology
- The Sales Operations position will quickly lead you to master all our technical tools (Salesforce, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Jira, Github...)
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (SQL, Python, Java, JSON...) is a plus
- Analytical mindset: rationalize issues, find pragmatic solutions and draft action plans
- "Hands-on": Ability to be on the field and perform daily tasks
- Ownership: Autonomy, ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
- Enthusiasm: Positive attitude and communication, creative problem-solving approach
- Team player
- Fluent in English. Spanish or French is a plus
What the job involves
- The position of Sales Operations is at one time rich, intense and technical
- Your role will be simple: to make papernest grow using both simple and effective tools and processes
- The Sales Ops position is highly cross-functional, at the intersection of the needs of multiple teams and countries (France, Spain, Italy...)
- It will not only allow you to enrich and greatly develop your technical skills (CRM, user experience, data analysis, code), but also to leverage your leadership and project management qualities
- You will join a Sales Ops team of 9 people, at the heart of the company and papernest's strategic challenges
- Assist the SalesOps Lead to
- Manage simple configuration on no-code tools (Diabolocom, Salesforce Flow, Make, internal back office...)
- Improve the current processes by developing automation with the help from Technical team
- Help to analyze sales data and deploy action plan to achieve operational targets
- Use existing dashboards and improve our data visualization
- Deliver ad hoc analysis using Gsheet and SQL
- Run A/B tests and iterate to find the best solution
- Take actions to correct discrepancies and achieve objectives
- Communicate results to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product & Tech, Training….) and external partners to
- Resolve operational and technical incidents on a daily basis
- Improve processes in an agile manner

Our take
Papernest helps customers manage their utility bills and subscriptions via its online platform. It predominantly focuses on streamlining the administration involved in moving house, like changing or cancelling water bills and gym registrations, with an additional service that works like a more conventional price comparison site for utilities like internet and gas. It is providing a much-needed service in what's proven to be an interestingly narrow and non-competitive niche.
The company so far has been partnering with real estate agency referrals to bring new customers on board. So the boom in people changing homes over the last few years is likely to have played strongly in Papernest’s favour. It has leveraged a strategic partnership with open banking firm Tink, using the company’s broader European coverage to springboard into more geographies.
Papernest seems something of a rare find: a solution that neatly resolves a large and material problem, that’s proven hugely popular, and yet that hasn’t inspired a flurry of would-be competitors. With the housing market still relatively hot, and mid-term moves inspired by the growing digital-nomad lifestyle still on the rise, Papernest seem to be in a rosy position. If it gets too rosy though, it may have to watch its back.
