Role
Who you are
- 1–3 years actively trading short-term power in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, or Denmark — proprietary or asset-backed, with real risk-taking experience
- A demonstrated track record of finding and trading your own edge, not just analysing markets from the sidelines
- Expert-level understanding of what drives European power prices, built from hands-on trading rather than theory
- Comfortable working with code and data to support your process (you don't need to be a developer, but you should be able to interrogate data yourself rather than wait on someone else)
What the job involves
- Identify, deploy, and actively trade systematic strategies across European short-term power markets — you own the P&L
- Manage risk on live positions day-to-day: sizing, limits, and knowing when to pull back or press on
- Use data and code as tools to sharpen your edge and scale strategies you've already proven work — not as a substitute for market judgement
- Continuously refine strategies based on live performance, working closely with our CEO and CTO as the desk growsgrows.
