Who you are

Solid understanding of Typescript and proven experience in React
Strong CSS skills
Experience with NextJs and server-side rendering
Experience with state management libraries, ideally Redux Toolkit (incl. Redux Toolkit Query)
Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices
Experience using storybook
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
A passionate coder with a keen eye for design

3 to 5 years of experience

What the job involves

As a Frontend Engineer at Rated, you'll be leveraging your expertise to improve our existing products, design new ones, and contribute to our overall roadmap development in terms of both the core suite of products, as well as how we communicate those to the world
The role is highly cross-functional and collaborative
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, ensuring both responsiveness and alignment with design
Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of devices and browsers
Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
We’re a highly technical 14 person team (and growing!), working in a hybrid/remote set-up, with a home base in London, UK

Our take

Blockchains, which facilitate recording transactions and tracking assets in a business network, are an immutable part of the cryptocurrency industry, but the machines that provide security to these networks are poorly understood. Rated Labs provides a network explorer for Ethereum beacon Chain and Prater validators, and validator operators, as a first step in expanding understanding of the machines that run the chain’s software.

Rated Labs was founded in 2022, in response to the highly contextualised concepts surrounding these machines. A low-performing or faulty validator could cause issues including parts of the network going offline, transactions not processing or perhaps complete system failure – which is a huge incentive for them to be better understood. Rated not only collects and displays performance information, but provides detail and context, so that users can make educated comparisons between validators. The vision for the future is that Rated becomes its own protocol, creating a standard for the machines that secure the Web 3.0 economy.

Rated Labs has raised impressive funding, with contributions from some of the most prominent investors in crypto, whose confidence shows the value of Rated’s technology. The funding will be used to accelerate the company’s mission, hire talent, and push its products forwards, importantly expanding beyond the limited validators it currently services.
