Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience as a data analyst for 3+ years, ideally in B2C, financial services, or technology
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Bigquery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc)
- Proficient in utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or other similar platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business questions into data analysis plans
- Experience with A/B testing and experimental design
- Working experience with Python for data analysis
Desirable
- Familiarity with the fintech industry and banking products is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Exposure to dimensional modeling concepts to power meaningful analytics
- Experience building data pipelines in dbt
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and predictive analytics is a plus
- Experience modeling data using dbt
What the job involves
- As a Data Analyst on the Growth team, you will be at the forefront of understanding our customers
- You'll analyze user behavior, their lifecycle, and key metrics to help improve our products, features, and onboarding flows, with the ultimate goal of increasing customer conversion and retention
- Working closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and marketers, you'll translate business questions into actionable insights that directly impact decisions related to our Improving customer experience and overall business strategy
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities in banking products and services
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and deliver clear insights to stakeholders
- Conduct discovery and deep-dive analyses to support data-driven decision-making
- Partner with product managers and engineers to define and measure the success of features and initiatives
- Design and evaluate experiments to optimize products and enhance customer experience
- Monitor and analyze customer behavior across their lifecycle
- Deliver actionable insights to leadership on emerging trends and innovation opportunities
- Work with analytics and backend engineers to ensure accessible, accurate, and high-quality data
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Continuously improve data analysis processes and methodologies
- Uphold data integrity, accuracy, and governance across analytics pipelines
- Support production analytics and fraud response through participation in on-call rotations

Current is a neobank offering digital banking services, with a focus on younger generations and paycheck-to-paycheck customers. It offers a swathe of innovative services including on-demand pay and overdraft protection to people underserved by traditional institutions.
Younger customers are expected in the coming years to pivot from legacy institutions to the higher functionality and lower costs of consumer-first neobanks like Current. By netting an average customer age of 27, Current is establishing itself as a pack leader among rival but less well-funded neobanks like Step or Till.
It is also successfully competing with legacy institutions by exploiting the relatively adaptive nature of neobanking: Current has previously offered customers advanced access to stimulus checks, and is seeking to expand into crypto. The company continues to raise funding, the latest of which will help fuel growth and an accelerated path to profitability.
