Who you are
- At least 5 years' experience in an institutional sales role
- An ability to confidently articulate complex financial solutions
- Experience presenting to C-suite level
- A drive & ambition to grow IG Prime’s market share through new opportunities & existing relationships
- A strong client focus
- Proficiency in another language is preferred
What the job involves
- IG Prime's London-based Sales Team is expanding, and we're looking for an accomplished senior sales professional to help drive our next phase of growth
- This is your opportunity to shape business development strategy across sophisticated institutional clients including hedge funds, family offices, brokers, and white label partners
- As a senior member of our sales team, you'll take ownership of the full client lifecycle—from identifying and originating new business opportunities through to successful onboarding and long-term relationship management
- You'll be instrumental in expanding IG Prime's market presence across multiple geographies, working with some of the most dynamic players in the institutional trading space
- Client Acquisition & Growth:
- Identify, develop and win new institutional clients across hedge funds, family offices, brokers and white label partners
- Prepare and deliver compelling pitches to prospective clients, showcasing IG Prime's competitive advantages
- Develop existing client relationships strategically to capture wallet share from competing brokers
- Represent IG Prime at industry marketing events and conferences, building brand presence and pipeline
- Revenue & Market Share:
- Support and implement targeted sales strategies across key regions to accelerate market penetration
- Drive revenue growth by converting high-value opportunities and expanding client engagement
- Build comprehensive knowledge of IG Prime's full product suite and capabilities to position solutions effectively
- Collaboration & Excellence:
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders—including trading, operations, technology and product teams—to ensure clients receive first-class service at every stage
- Help develop controls, policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and effectiveness for the London sales team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our sales processes and client experience

Our take
Founded in 1974 by Stuart Wheeler as a UK-based spread betting company for gold, IG Group, abbreviated from Investors Gold Index, was initially set up to allow people to speculate and trade on the price change of gold without owning physical gold. And in the year 2000, it was listed on the London Stock Exchange and its gradual evolution into the world of fintech began.
By 2011, the company had played a part in numerous international buyouts before narrowing its focus down to financial wagers. During the latter half of that decade, IG shut down its binary options trading platform and focused instead on building an investment portfolio with partner BlackRock Investments, all whilst maintaining its Forex and CFD trading processes. Since then, it has become a fast-paced market leader in the investment space.
In recent years, IG Group has developed major platforms for various trading actions and has grown profit and revenue significantly. Alongside this it has acquired a number of companies, including tastytrade and Freetrade, and launched its own crypto product, making it the first UK-listed company to launch crypto trading to retail investors. This further proves how much of a staple IG Group is in the world of financial trading.
