What the job involves
- As the Director of Lifecycle Marketing at Foodsmart, you will play a critical role in driving member engagement and retention
- Operating at a senior level within our marketing team, you will take ownership of our communication strategies for enrolled members, ensuring they remain actively engaged with our platform long after their initial sign-up
- This role will require you to lead the development and execution of email and SMS campaigns, focusing on segmenting our audience and delivering personalized, impactful messaging
- Own the Campaign Strategy for Enrolled Members: Design and implement targeted email and SMS campaigns, utilizing segmentation strategies to deliver personalized content that resonates with our diverse member base
- Optimize Member Communication: Oversee the development and execution of communication plans for members at various stages of their journey, from initial sign-up through ongoing engagement
- Leverage Data-Driven Insights: Monitor, analyze, and report on engagement metrics and retention rates, using these insights to continuously improve lifecycle marketing initiatives
- Oversee Our Key Marketing Platforms: Leverage and manage ESP platforms to drive member engagement and retention, ensuring optimal use of these tools for lifecycle marketing efforts
- Serve as Lead Stakeholder on CDP/CRM Development: Partner closely with our Product and Engineering teams to develop and iterate on a best-in-class CDP that will serve as the foundation for your segmentation strategies

Foodsmart seeks to change the meal kit paradigm by providing meal kits that are tailored to your nutritional needs and dietary preferences.
Since launching their app in 2011, Foodsmart has enrolled over 1 million users with demonstrated results. For example, Over 30% of obese subscribers have shown positive weight loss results, and subscribers with hypertension have shown an average reduction of 10 mm hg in systolic blood pressure. With registered dieticians consulting and guiding subscriber meal plans, the company has smartly carved a science-first niche in the multi-billion dollar meal plan delivery service market.
Foodsmart has worked with hundreds of employers including Walmart, Cigna, and Instacart to improve the health of their employees. Most recent funding comes from Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, with which Foodsmart hopes to advance its "food is medicine" philosophy, further enabling patients to follow through with specific, personalized nutrition guidance led by their physicians.
