Who you are

  • Proven SaaS Sales Experience: A strong track record in enterprise SaaS sales, with a focus on new business acquisition and consistent achievement of revenue targets
  • Expertise in Complex Sales: Experience managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within large enterprise accounts
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise business applications such as Analytics, BI, or ERP, with the ability to engage senior executives (e.g., CFO, COO, CSCO, CPO)
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business processes and key performance indicators across functions like Finance and Supply Chain
  • Vertical Experience: Experience or expertise in selling to specific industries
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation and storytelling abilities to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers effectively
  • Collaborative Mindset: A team-oriented approach, leveraging internal and external resources to achieve shared goals

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a dynamic Account Executive to join our North America Enterprise Sales Team
  • This role is primarily focused on acquiring new logos within the Diversified sector, while also driving strategic expansion within select enterprise accounts
  • Reporting to the Diversified Sales Director, you will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading products, proven sales strategies, and a collaborative team of Value Engineers and Business Development Representatives
  • Your primary focus will be to acquire new customers and expand relationships with existing accounts, contributing to our strategic goal of maximizing market potential and increasing our enterprise presence across North America. This role can be based anywhere in the U.S
  • Drive New Business: Identify and develop opportunities within a defined territory, targeting enterprise accounts to secure new business
  • Own the Sales Cycle: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualification to closing six-figure deals
  • Engage Strategic Stakeholders: Build and nurture relationships across multiple lines of business, collaborating with C-level executives, operational leaders, and key decision-makers
  • Deliver Tailored Solutions: Gain a deep understanding of customer challenges and demonstrate how Celonis’ solutions can address their strategic and operational needs
  • Showcase Value: Present compelling use-case-driven pitches and demos—independently or with Value Engineers—to illustrate the measurable impact of Celonis solutions
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with Big 4 consulting firms, SaaS providers, and industry partners to strengthen the value proposition for your prospects
  • Leverage Team Support: Partner with Business Development Representatives, Pre-Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Partner Managers to drive success

Our take

Celonis started out in an obscure niche which the company called process mining. Its first product was created to scan data logs for its clients and map out their processes in its entirety - inefficiencies and all. Celonis' product was in essence, to be considered a replacement for costly consultants and quants.

The company has since branched out into an even more niche area that plays on the strength of its products and proprietary technology - such as execution management solutions. Celonis' product found significant uptake across industries like supply chain, manufacturing, and business intelligence which quickly amassed it a wealth of enterprise customers and hundreds of millions of dollars in recurring revenue.

Celonis is king in its industry as it was founded just as data-heavy enterprise operations sky-rocketed. Now, the company is backed by hefty funding and impressive advisors across several industries, still seeing increased investment despite the venture capital market is experiencing a slowdown. Celonis has shown impressive foresight and innovation as a company and will continue to eat the fruits of those labour for many years to come.
