What the job involves
- Apollo Agriculture is seeking a Product Manager to help us change how African farmers access farm inputs, credit, and customized advice
- We are looking for someone to help design and drive our product strategy as we scale
- This role reports to Apollo's Head of Product
- Help design and execute our product strategy and technology roadmap in close coordination with Apollo’s Head of Product and key stakeholders across Apollo
- Rally people across the organization to deliver high-quality products, on time, for our customers
- Work closely with our operations teams and learn from our customers in the field to develop technology that dramatically increases our operational efficiency and positions the business for radical scale
- Transform ideas into clear, functional product features and work with our engineers to ensure projects are managed efficiently and features are built to spec
- Your core responsibilities will evolve and shift as Apollo grows. You will thrive in this role if you embrace rather than struggle with frequent change

Agriculture covers roughly half of Kenya’s territory, and 60% of Africa’s population are smallholder farmers. Many of these farmers face a plethora of challenges like difficulty accessing financing and insurance - which results in low productivity.
Apollo Agriculture is an Agtech company that wants to support these small-scale farmers to help maximise their profits. Through agronomic machine learning, remote sensing and mobile phones Apollo Agriculture supports farmers in finding financing, quality farm products and advice.
Since founding in 2015 the company has acquired an impressive level of funding which speaks to the success of the service, and also the need for it. The company continues to use this funding to scale operations in order to serve even more farmers.
