Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in field marketing, event management, or related roles, preferably in cybersecurity/SaaS
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing corporate events, branded roadshows, and field events that drove revenue and positively impacted the brand
- Strategic mindset and ability to align field marketing initiatives with overall business goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and analyze the impact of field marketing campaigns
- Budget management experience, with a focus on resource optimization and ROI
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability
- Ability to travel 40% of the time
What the job involves
- As the Senior Manager, Field Marketing, you will be responsible for owning and executing all aspects of field marketing events, branded roadshows, and collaborative Sales-led field events
- Your strategic execution and expertise will drive revenue growth and elevate the company's brand visibility in target markets globally
- You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure field marketing campaigns and initiatives align with overall business objectives and are executed successfully
- Develop and execute comprehensive field marketing strategies that are aligned with sales and marketing objectives to drive revenue and market expansion in your assigned area of ownership
- Collaborate with Field Marketing, Product Marketing, and Brand & Creative teams to create best-in-class booth designs and experiences
- Own vendor management and pre, during and post campaign flows and follow-up for your assigned area of ownership
- Own the logistics, planning, organization, and execution of corporate events or branded roadshows, ensuring seamless coordination, exceptional attendee experiences, and positive brand impressions that result in customer satisfaction and pipeline generation within your area of ownership
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align event themes and messaging with the overall marketing strategy
- Oversee the planning and execution of field events, including trade shows, conferences, and sponsored industry events
- Manage event budgets, negotiate sponsorships, and evaluate event effectiveness in achieving set goals
- Demonstrated success collaborating with Sales, Product Marketing, Content, and Creative teams to align field marketing efforts with broader marketing initiatives and company revenue targets
- Work closely with regional and territory sales leaders to understand market needs and customize field marketing strategies accordingly
Our take
If you’re a growth-stage startup, you need to become SOC 2 compliant to be able to close enterprise deals. However, becoming SOC 2 compliant can be expensive, time-consuming, and pretty complicated. Thoropass (previously known as Laika) provides an end-to-end compliance service for startups, to enable them to work with legacy companies in highly regulated fields such as health and fintech.
Due diligence is quickly becoming a consideration from day one for startups in these fields, with an increase in collaboration between disruptive startups and legacy players. Thoropass has taken up an acute position between the two, allowing startups to get deals done more smoothly and scale more quickly, whilst allowing the established companies to access emerging talent.
Although Thoropass has maintained a strong focus on growing early-stage companies, it has ambitious plans to start working with big banks in the future. Significant funding raised by the company, which already has hundreds of customers, will see it invest in expanding the functionality of its platform and its wider business funnel.
