Role
Who you are
- This candidate must have a passion for understanding, driving value and delivering growth for Nanit’s business and the families we serve
- 10-15 years of strategic experience operating inside a technology, consumer, retail, or services company. Investment banking, private equity or management consulting experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred
- Mastery of strategy craft skills. Hypothesis-driven thinking, project scoping, lean testing, financial and business modeling, strategic option identification, and rigorous data analytics
- Project management experience on an international scale, providing strategic leadership for multiple programs simultaneously in a cross-functional business
- Experience in building trusted advisor relationships and influencing others, including C-level. Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Experience with strategic transactions including partnerships, alliances or joint ventures
- Strong financial acumen. Advanced Excel modeling skills and experience applying those skills to business development, operations and other projects
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to effectively and succinctly communicate in writing and orally to executive management
- An entrepreneurial, creative thinker with an action-oriented approach characterized by speed and productivity
- Ability to perform with high pressure and short timelines
What the job involves
- We are seeking an analytical leader to help shape and execute Nanit’s strategic initiatives
- The VP of Corporate Strategy will have a broad scope of responsibilities, including the development of long term business strategy and initiatives, fundraising strategy, board management and corporate development
- This highly visible role will partner closely with our C-Suite and broader leadership team to define and quantity key initiatives within business units
- This role will report directly into our CEO with a dotted line into the CFO
- Lead and facilitate in the design and iteration of corporate strategy; drive the strategic planning process, acting as a trusted advisor to Nanit’s Executive Team and relevant stakeholders during strategy formulation, development, and execution
- Collaborate with leadership team to identify new business opportunities; conduct detailed market research, feasibility analysis, customer data analysis, and due diligence to develop and evaluate potential growth strategies
- Partner with CEO and leadership team on telling the Nanit vision and strategy both internally and externally, developing compelling materials to generate buy-in
- Design and maintain operational meetings and milestones for the business, including goal setting, annual planning, business reviews and more
- Analyze the efficacy of planned and existing strategies, build and maintain Nanit’s ongoing long-range plan to deliver value over time
- Lead cross functional execution on strategic corporate projects, ensuring alignment across departments and driving operational improvements where needed
- Act as the point person on all corporate development initiatives, surfacing opportunities and providing support throughout the deal lifecycle
- Work closely with senior management to develop Board presentations
- Support capital raising by anticipating due diligence requests, gathering and synthesizing data from brand and platform groups, and presenting data in an articulate manner that supports company narrative

Nanit's technology sets it apart from other infant care industry leaders as it uses a combination of computer vision and specially designed infant clothing to monitor babies' breathing and sleep patterns, with the data being accessible via an easy-to-use app. This has proven to have broad market appeal, to date the company has tracked over 3.5 billion hours of sleep, 435 million parental visits, and over 334 million morning wakeups. As a result, the company has secured considerable funding.
Nanit is currently working to expand its range to encompass all aspects of nursery care, including nightlights and changing pads. This will enable the company to maximize its revenue streams and continue to compete within the growing baby tech market.
