Desirable
- Strong contemporary understanding of geopolitical trends in either the EU, Central Asia, or the South Pacific, particularly as it pertains to data locality and data sovereignty
- Practical experience building systems that are FedRAMP High compliant
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of how the Internet works at layers 1 through 7
- Experience in building or operating large-scale IP networks. Specific expertise in BGP and DNS a plus
- Scripting/programming experience (Python, Go, etc.) and familiarity with data analysis tools (eg SQL, pandas)
- Hands-on experience with tools used for interacting with, debugging, and testing networks and applications (e.g. curl, dig, mtr, iperf, Wireshark, etc)
- Ability to validate early ideas through quantitative and qualitative methods (A/B and multivariate testing, user testing, etc)
- A solid understanding of RESTful API design & documentation
- Experience developing pricing for new enterprise SaaS products
- Capacity planning, cost modeling, and operations research experience
What the job involves
- As a Product Manager at Cloudflare, you will be responsible for building products that improve the way that the Internet works
- Product Managers at Cloudflare shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty
- On an average day, you might pitch a concept to senior leadership, collaborate with marketing, work with designers to conduct user research, prototype a new feature, iterate on a spec, analyze usage data, and pair with an engineer on implementation
- As a Product Manager for Data Localization, your primary responsibility is to support and grow the Data Localization Platform at Cloudflare
- The goal of the Data Localization Platform is to revolutionize Cloudflare's global network, enabling regional management and operation and ensuring that every customer, regardless of compliance or data privacy needs, can trust Cloudflare's services
- You’ll work closely with a strong team of Engineers on traffic processing problems at unparalleled scale
- In short, this job is about understanding the data processing needs of our internal and external customers and the business, and partnering with your team to deliver solutions that are valuable and viable
- The reliability and performance of our regional data processing platform products like Regional Services
- The scalability of Regional Services, enabling every economy that Cloudflare operates in to have access to Regional Services
- The coverage and accuracy of our customer facing regional data processing systems, ensuring that it complies with industry standards
- Working with our legal, compliance, and policy teams to build global solutions that work for various economies and nations
- Enabling internal teams to easily integrate with our regional data processing products to power a variety of experiences for our customers, in order to reduce the developmental burden on other teams
- Having strong, informed opinions and suggestions about how internal teams can best use our infrastructure to power customer-facing products
- Engage directly with customers (internal and external) to deeply understand their needs. You will be the voice of the customer within Cloudflare, ensuring that our DLS products are continuously evolving to meet their needs
- Keep up to date on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Cloudflare remains a leader in cloud connectivity and security
- Work with the DLS product team to define and drive the strategic direction for Cloudflare's data localization products, aligning with broader company objectives and customer needs
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support teams to understand user and business needs, and deliver a product experience that is valuable and viable
- Use data analytics to inform product decisions and measure the impact of new features and improvements

Cloudflare is a multi-service global network that provides web security and infrastructure, DDoS mitigation services, and a content delivery network. Founded in 2009, Cloudflare has risen to become an industry giant, with over 25 million global internet properties on its network.
Cloudflare has been responsible for a number of admirable initiatives, offering free web protection to human rights groups, journalists, artists, and US election websites. This goes some way to counteracting the flak Cloudflare has received in some circles for the controversial groups and users who use its services. This chequered history, however, has not affected its over 80% market share in the content delivery network field.

And impressive third-quarter 2025 results show strong momentum, with revenue rising to $562 million from $430 million a year earlier. The company also raised its full-year guidance, underscoring confidence in continued growth. As demand for secure, cloud-based infrastructure keeps growing, Cloudflare's expanding platform and improving efficiency leave it well positioned to capture further gains in a rapidly growing market.
