Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate prefers simple and pragmatic architectural approaches and enjoys working on both frontend and backend aspects of web applications
- 3+ years of frontend development experience building SPAs and Node.js APIs
- Strong knowledge of React and TypeScript
- In-depth understanding of React core concepts, including component lifecycle and hooks
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and popular libraries (e.g., react-query, SWR, CSS modules)
- Experience with Node.js and some familiarity with backend technologies
- Understanding of core Computer Science concepts like data structures, asynchronous vs concurrent code, event-driven vs imperative styles, etc
- Familiarity with SOLID principles and practical experience applying them
- Proficient in frontend-backend communication protocols and the networking stack
- Good knowledge of Agile principles and working in an Agile environment
Desirable
- Experience with MUI (Material UI)
- Experience with databases, SQL, and troubleshooting server-side issues
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in React, a solid understanding of TypeScript, and some experience with Node.js
- As part of our team, you'll work on building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and Node.js APIs while adhering to best practices in software development
- It's a project role with the full-time allocation of 40 hours/week from mid January 2025 till the end of April 2025
- React Development: Build and maintain user interfaces using React, focusing on performance, accessibility, and clean code
- Node.js API Development: Assist in building and optimizing Node.js APIs to support seamless frontend-backend communication
- System Design: Create and implement simple, pragmatic architectures for scalable software solutions
- Frontend Communication: Ensure smooth communication between the frontend and backend, with a deep understanding of frontend-backend protocols
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, ensuring that both frontend and backend components work together seamlessly
- Agile Workflow: Participate in Agile development cycles, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality software
