Our take

Using the Intigriti platform, businesses can launch bug bounty programmes that reward ethical hackers for uncovering vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. Its client base spans major organisations such as the European Commission, Randstad, and Kahoot, highlighting the growing mainstream adoption of crowdsourced security as part of modern risk management strategies.

Against the backdrop of persistent cybersecurity talent shortage, Intigriti's distributed model allows enterprises to tap into a global pool of skilled researchers, scaling their security efforts far beyond what in-house teams alone can achieve. This approach not only strengthens organisational resilience but also creates new income streams and recognition opportunities for ethical hackers.

Following a reported 650% growth surge between 2020 and 2022, the company went on to secure Europe's largest-ever funding round for a crowdsourced security platform, signalling strong market confidence in its model and long-term trajectory.

More recently, Intigriti has expanded its role within critical infrastructure through a partnership with Shield, supporting Belgian healthcare organisations in meeting the stricter requirements for the NIS2 Directive. This collaboration highlights a shift in the market from optional bug bounty programmes to structured, compliance-driven vulnerability disclosure frameworks. By combining its global ethical hacker network with operational support and secure reporting process, Intigriti is positioning itself as a key enabler of regulatory complainant and proactive security maturity.
