Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of experience of overall experience in the technology industry
- 4+ years of experience in payments space (credit card & debit card issuance)
- 4+ years of experience in a product management position
- Experience with risk and fraud teams applying data science to solve card payment problems
- Experience with small business financing or other financial products
- Proven track record delivering products with demonstrable contribution to business outcomes
- Comfortable in an ambiguous matrixed organization
- Analytical skills: You have a data-driven learning style and use quantitative information to make product decisions
- Technical mindset: You understand modern technologies and architectural patterns and how they can drive platform performance
- Collaborative approach: You deliver results with cross-functional teams, and partner with and empower team members appropriately
- Customer-centric: Experience shaping platform direction and execution based on developer and customer needs
- Strategic: Experience developing and driving key strategies that shaped an organization

What the job involves
- We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager or Lead Product Manager to join our Product team and work on exploring, shaping, and building the future of business banking
- You will be responsible for building out Novo’s card and payments systems that enable customer to seamlessly spend money through cards products
- You will work with engineering, design, operations, risk, data science, compliance, and other teams to achieve the business's strategies and objectives
- You will help them shape the strategies and help deliver an AI-first customer experience to Novo’s small business owners
- Drive adoption and usage of Novo’s card products including debit card and credit card
- Work with product teams, underwriting data science, risk, finance, and other teams to understand the needs of teams managing financial products
- Own OKRs and build a roadmap for card capabilities based on the needs of future financial product launches and our ambitions for scale and speed to market
- Own key measurements (KPIs) of Novo’s card products adoption and performance and work to develop a measurement feedback loop into the roadmap to improve continuously
- Operate cross-functionally and build strong partnerships both within Novo and with external vendors to deliver excellent products and services
- Manage the entire cards product life cycle from ideation to planning, execution, and launch
- Creatively testing assumptions and ideas using surveys, internal working sessions, prototypes, and data to quickly build or remove confidence in solutions related to debit and credit cards
- Working with the functional areas to prioritize solutions and working with design and engineering resources to deliver them from start to finish
- Collaborating extensively with stakeholders (data science, risk, legal & compliance) on opportunities and solutions to drive the credit business (underwriting models, originations, draws, etc.)
- Peforming end-to-end data analysis on product fit and any launch impacts on our user base
- Work closely with product marketing to promote any offering and execute Go To Market functions

Novo has created one app with a drag-and-drop interface to manage several financial apps in one place. This helps gain a clearer picture of transactional data more quickly. This is a developing market, providing both opportunity and competition from the likes of Lili, NorthOne, Brex and numerous other Neobanks.
Novo has racked up an impressive roster of SMB customers and has seen billions of dollars in lifetime transactions. It is also well-funded, affording it the position to scale up its app partnerships whilst consolidating its market position.
