To help people do their best work with data that meets them where they are.
Role
Who you are
- 7+ years in technical consulting / project management, ideally in the data space
- Deep hands-on expertise in data engineering and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Mode), with a specific mastery of semantic layers like Omni or Looker
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences while thriving in fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environments
- Experience across the full project lifecycle from positioning and scoping through to execution, ideally as a consultant
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Managing Architect to join our Professional Services team, helping customers get to value faster while driving successful outcomes across the customer lifecycle

- In this role, you will scope, sell, and deliver projects across a range of complexity, including internal BI and embedded analytics initiatives
- You will own delivery outcomes, advocate for customers, and identify challenges and product gaps, partnering with internal teams to address them. Your insights will help shape product direction, strengthen the customer experience, and create opportunities for continued growth
- Serve as the deep technical expert to solve complex data problems while defining best practices and design patterns for the Omni platform
- Provide insight and guidance on how to leverage Omni’s AI features to maximise impact of the platform
- Manage a portfolio of primarily Enterprise customers, overseeing scoping, resource allocation, and delivery approach
- Act as the primary customer-facing technical contact, building strong, long-term relationships
- Drive project results by managing consulting and delivery partners, ensuring alignment across all workstreams
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to translate frontline customer feedback into actionable product direction
- A typical day for you at Omni:
- 30% Pre-sales technical support & scoping
- 40% Hands-on customer delivery
- 30% Internal best practices and ecosystem support
Our take
The founding trio behind Omni led teams at major business intelligence startup Looker (now owned by Google), as well as data integration company Stitch. During their time at these companies, they learned that the more business intelligence teams aspire to be data-driven, the more data they have to integrate and query, and as a result, the more complex it becomes to analyze.
In a bid to outperform their previous employers, Omni’s business intelligence software features a centralized, structured platform which is designed to be more user friendly, while still allowing data analysts the freedom and flexibility of a more advanced BI stack.
It’s not only Looker that Omni has to contend with, however. The likes of Pyramid Analytics and Metabase are growing quickly in a fiercely competitive BI space. This hasn’t deterred its investors though, who have shown their confidence in Omni’s founding team as the company looks to shake up the Business Intelligence market.
