Who you are
- 2+ years in a B2B SaaS closing or partnerships role
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota, President's Club, or top 10% of your team
- Comfortable running discovery and closing conversations with C-suite decision makers
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- As an Account Executive, you will manage a dedicated pipeline of Y Combinator founders, engaging primarily with founders and co-founders across current and recent YC batches
- You will embed yourself within the YC community, building relationships early and becoming a trusted presence at the stage where financial infrastructure decisions get made, so that Brex is the natural choice
- You will manage a full pipeline and ensure success on every level
- Close net new business with a focus on YC-backed companies
- Embed yourself in the YC community - attend YC events, Demo Day, and founder meetups to build relationships early and stay top of mind in the community
- Build a personal brand presence within the YC ecosystem so founders and co-founders know Brex, and you, as the go-to resource for startup banking and spend
- Network directly with founders and co-founders to build trust and generate pipeline ahead of formal sales motions
- Engage with businesses at all points of the sales cycle - including prospecting, product demonstrations, onboarding, and close
- Develop strategic plans on how to close more companies and generate more revenue
- Focus on self-development with daily training and enablement
- Outbound and source the current YC batch to build pipeline early
- Work closely with the Partnerships team, helping shape strategy and direction on how to approach and work with each new batch
Our take
Brex started its life providing corporate credit cards aimed mainly at startups and SMBs. Since then, it has gradually evolved its model towards becoming a one-stop finance shop for companies. It has also adapted to serve a much wider range of businesses, from startups to enterprises.
As the largest modern corporate card platform, Brex serves over 20,000 businesses globally, and is responsible for the processing of tens of billions of dollars in transactions. It has raised significant capital and reached a peak valuation of $12.3 billion in 2022.
With the landscape of companies clamouring to meet financial needs increasing by the day, Brex is well set to see continued growth. In 2026 it was announced that Capital One will be purchasing the company in order to pursue its ambition to “build a payments company at the frontier of the technology revolution.”
