Event Marketing Intern, Upsun

• Education & Experience: Currently in the final 2 years of a Bachelor’s (Bac+3) program or enrolled in a Master’s program in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, or a related field. Prior internship or academic experience in corporate events, tech marketing, or B2B environments is strongly preferred
• Organizational & Project Skills: Strong ability to manage timelines, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and maintain attention to detail across logistics, budgets, and campaign assets
• Technical & Marketing Tools Familiarity: Exposure to tools such as Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, Ai Platforms (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo), marketing automation platforms, and project management tools (e.g., Clickup, Asana, Notion, Monday, or similar)
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (additional languages a plus). Comfortable collaborating across global, cross-functional teams
• Curiosity & Ownership Mindset: Interest in the software developer ecosystem and B2B SaaS marketing. Proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to contribute to measurable business outcomes—not just execute tasks

• As an Event Marketing Intern, you will directly support Upsun’s global third-party event sponsorship strategy—helping us activate at leading developer, cloud, and open-source conferences across North America and Europe.
• Reporting to the Director of Event Marketing, you will contribute to initiatives that generate qualified pipeline, strengthen agency partnerships, and elevate Upsun’s presence within the developer ecosystem
• This is a high-impact role for someone who wants hands-on experience in software marketing, global event execution, and developer-focused community engagement. The position is remote-first though we require our interns to spend at least 3 days in our
• Paris office, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones (primarily CEST and EST). Standard working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday
• Support Global Event Activations: Contribute to the planning and execution of sponsored conferences and partner events (e.g., developer, e-commerce, and open-source events). Assist with logistics, vendor coordination, timelines, and activation checklists to ensure seamless execution
• Drive Lead & Pipeline Operations: Help manage pre-event campaigns, on-site engagement strategies, and post-event follow-up workflows in collaboration with Demand Generation and Sales. Assist in tracking MQLs, SALs, and pipeline attribution tied to event investments
• Agency & Developer-Focused Experiences: Support creative booth concepts, agency gatherings, VIP dinners, and community activations tailored to software developers, CTOs, and digital agency owners. Help bring experiential ideas to life that reflect Upsun’s brand and technical credibility
• Content & Campaign Collaboration: Partner with Product Marketing and Content teams to ensure event messaging aligns with ICP priorities. Assist in coordinating speaking submissions and thought-leadership opportunities
• Operational Excellence & Reporting: Maintain organized event management documentation, run-of-show plans, and budget trackers. Assist in preparing post-event recap reports highlighting ROI, pipeline contribution, brand visibility, and strategic learnings
• Problem-Solving in Real Time: Learn how to anticipate and navigate common event challenges—tight timelines, vendor changes, shipping logistics, and stakeholder alignment—while maintaining professionalism and adaptability
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Bring fresh ideas for engagement tactics, sustainable event practices, and creative activations that resonate with millennial and Gen Z tech audiences
