Role

Who you are

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred
  • 1 year of experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Intern, preferred
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Experience with Workday is a plus

What the job involves

  • The Human Resources Coordinator is a key role within the Human Resources function and provides administrative and project coordination support for the HR team
  • This role provides great exposure to all aspects of HR and plays an integral role in attracting, supporting, developing and empowering our most valuable assets, our people
  • Entering and maintaining assigned employee data into company systems, including new employee requests, job changes, and separations
  • Collecting, tracking, documenting and uploading pertinent info to personnel files
  • Assisting with tracking performance management process milestones and compliance
  • Setting up and facilitating in-person and virtual training and orientation sessions for all new hires
  • Coordinating with managers and departments for first week onboarding plans for all new hires
  • Assisting with building administrative needs
  • Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Researching and answering employee questions
  • Assisting with company wide events as needed
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
