Role
Who you are
- 5-7+ years of experience in data and analytics roles
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact analytics in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong technical foundation in modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow) and analytics best practices
- Skilled in experimentation, statistical analysis, and translating data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communicator who can distill complex data concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in e-commerce, healthtech, or consumer health (bonus); passion for advancing science and human health through data
- Hands-on operator with the ability to both execute and guide others
- Strong SQL skills and fluency in modern data platforms (dbt, Snowflake, Fivetran, Airflow)
- Experience with experimentation design, statistical analysis, and A/B testing
- Proficiency in visualization and BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, or similar)
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making
- Skilled at prioritization and balancing short-term execution with long-term vision
- Comfortable communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to simplify complex analyses
- Growth mindset with curiosity, adaptability, and a drive for impact
- Passion for making data accessible and actionable across the organization
What the job involves
- As our Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in advancing Seed’s data capabilities
- You will partner closely with leaders across Product, Science, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to transform data into actionable insights that drive business growth and scientific discovery
- You will manage and mentor a growing analytics team, build scalable frameworks, and help foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Contribute to the evolution of Seed’s analytics roadmap in alignment with company priorities
- Work cross functionally with a small but growing team of analysts and analytics engineers
- Establish frameworks, standards, and best practices for reporting, modeling, and experimentation
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to design analyses, reports, and dashboards that inform strategy and execution
- Build scalable pipelines and data models that support self-service analytics across teams
- Guide stakeholders in designing and interpreting experiments to optimize growth and product outcomes
- Define and maintain processes for data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems
- Collaborate with engineering to influence data architecture and performance
- Promote best practices in compliance, privacy, and ethical use of data
- Provide insights that optimize acquisition, retention, and customer experience
- Support science and product teams with data-driven approaches to study design and analysis
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency through advanced analytics
Our take
Seed Health is a microbial company that researches, develops and sells probiotic supplements to boost gastrointestinal, dermatological oral, pediatric and nutritional health.
The last decade has seen a renewed focus on probiotics, and gut health in particular, with scores of companies bringing supplements to market. However the efficacy of many of these are still shrouded in doubt, and lacking in insightful scientific research. Seed appears committed to upping (and setting) the standard. The company’s chief scientist, Dr. Gregor Reid, is a global authority in microbial sciences, having chaired the UN-WHO panel that first defined the term “probiotics”. On top of this, the company’s advisory board comes with a strong resume in microbiology, immunology, genetics, metabolomics, gastroenterology, pediatrics, environmental sciences and women’s health.
The next big step for Seed Health will be to rise above an already crowded marketplace while continuing R&D for new product categories, with a particular focus on AI applications. Substantial funding in 2021 alongside stable profitability and the fostering of groundbreaking partnerships with the likes of the Swiss Institute of Allergy prove it is turning heads in the science sector.
