Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, AAT)
- Post qualified experience in FP&A roles with experience in gaming/software preferred but not required
- Proficiency in accounting software, Excel and Google sheets
What the job involves
- We are recruiting for a 15 month maternity leave cover to join our small but versatile Finance team at Space Ape Games
- This is an FP&A focused role with some general finance responsibilities
- Lead FP&A processes for the company:
- Prepare and review quarterly forecasts with Game Leads and Founders
- Business Partner Game Leads and Management by providing financial support and analysis as required
- Model Game revenue and margin scenarios with adjustable key assumptions for product and marketing improvements on an ad hoc basis
- Manage cost budgets and support the Marketing team with analysis on project spend
- Help prepare the monthly cash forecast for the business
- Support Business Partners by generating and reviewing new contracts and renewals with third parties
- Reporting:
- Own music reporting for Beatstar and Country Star games. Send quarterly reports to music Partners and approve payments for music invoices
- Prepare quarterly commission reporting for our Transformers game
- Support the Finance team in preparing Board slides and slides for Company presentations
- Month End:
- Prepare monthly journals and reconciliations for revenue
- Undertake the monthly calculations for deferred revenue reporting
- Assist with the delivery of monthly group reporting (P&L and Balance Sheet) to our parent company Supercell
- General Finance Support:
- Assist with AP by approving payments and managing cash
- Coordinate NDAs and agreements with contractors
- Support the Finance team with cost allocation review
- Assist the Finance team with month end review and other tasks as required
