My previous company was restrictive about tech and tools, which taught resourcefulness and patience, but stifled velocity. At Translucent, we're together picking and building our tool-stack, leading both to steep learning curves and quick results.

My partner works full time, and our daughter is not a teenager. I was happy with my previous employer, but ended up leaving over the inflexibility of working conditions. Translucent's remote-first + targeted in-person mix is the right one for me and my family.

Big challenges in creating a data platform that can enable a whole suite of apps, all working from the same data and models. Opportunities to architect whole new systems fro the ground up, with access to great resources.

A fantastic team of highly experienced, smart people. Lots of trust to stop and learn when needed to solve a problem or move something forwards, great people around to learn from and unblock where possible.

The whole team trusts you to figure out what you need to do, and manage yourself. We have tickets and product people, but it's up to you to direct your efforts and make sure that what you're working is useful and moves the business forwards.

The most exciting thing about TL, besides how revolutionary the product is, is working with a highly experienced team in a start-up environment. I get the rush of things moving fast, along with the added-value of everyone delivering amazing work based on years of experience. We're all set for success, focused on outcomes and our mind is fed daily by working with interesting and interested people on a full remote set-up.

Feedback is delivered openly and quickly, which enables us to unblock work fast and learn/improve on a daily basis. Great work is acknowledged and celebrated openly. We have weekly Show & Tell sessions where we share not only work we've been successfully working on, but also lessons learnt, with no shame of failure, but rather seeing it as the learning path that sets us to success.

Everyone deeply cares for the company's success and fully understands how disruptive the product we're building will become. It's really amazing to see everyone so aligned and giving their best collaboratively. We all aim high and like to seek hard problems, as we believe that no business becomes successful without solving a hard problem.
