Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in health plans, healthcare technology, or tech-enabled services
- Strong ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions and roadmaps
- Proven track record of launching and managing successful healthcare-related products in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage company
- Experience working with agile development methodologies and cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, etc.), data analytics tools, A/B testing, and user research methodologies
- Experience in health plan administration, provider network management, or member engagement solutions is a plus
What the job involves
- As a Director of Product Management, Health Plan at Firefly, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our health plan products and services
- You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, UX Design, Analytics, Sales & Marketing teams to develop solutions that enhance our value propositions, streamline operations, improve provider and member engagement, and drive business growth
- This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic startup environment
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to prioritization, launch and iteration
- Develop a deep understanding of Firefly’s health plan offering, including key value propositions and opportunities for market differentiation
- Champion a member-first approach, leveraging user research, feedback loops, and engagement metrics to optimize plan offerings and service delivery
- Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to design and deliver innovations to our plan offering and operations which improve outcomes and member experience while reducing total cost of care
- Work with Marketing to develop collateral for external use & internal training
Our take
Getting good healthcare can be tricky, especially when you live far from a clinic or can't take time off work for doctor visits. While virtual care has helped, it often doesn't cover everything and when its isn't connected to in-person care, it can lead to confusion and less effective treatments.
Firefly Health is changing that with its healthcare company that puts virtual care at the center while also connecting patients to in-person services when needed. Through its growing network, Firefly Nearby, patients can get at-home testing, nurse visits, EKGs, and more, making its simpler than ever to have high-quality care, easily.
And it seems to be working, with the company having partnered with top providers like Getlabs, Ash Wellness, and Sprinter Health, helping it reach over 80% of the US population with care withing 15 miles of home. It's also tripled its membership in a year and earned glowing patient reviews, showing it really is setting the standard for virtual care across the country.
