Role
Who you are
- 2–4 years of experience in agency recruiting, full-cycle in-house recruiting, or a hybrid People Ops/Talent role in the US market
- Recruitment Expertise: A track record of successfully managing end-to-end recruitment processes, engaging candidates, and partnering with hiring managers to make high-quality hiring decisions
- Operational Foundation: Hands-on experience with onboarding logistics, HRIS management, and US employment basics
- Tech Fluency: Experience with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever), HRIS platforms, and collaborative tools like Google Workspace and Slack
- The Consultative Talent Partner: You don’t just process applications—you proactively drive recruitment processes, use market data to guide hiring managers, and advocate for high-caliber culture-adds
- Bias to Action: You thrive in an autonomous, remote-first environment where you take full ownership of your workflows and solve ambiguous operational challenges independently
- Customer Obsession: You treat candidates and internal employees as your VIP customers, ensuring a seamless, white-glove experience from initial interaction to Day 90 and beyond
- Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds may refrain from applying for positions if they feel they don't meet all qualifications. We strongly encourage you to apply if you’re interested: we're excited to discover how your distinctive experience can enhance our team!
What the job involves
- Do you want to be the architect of a world-class employee journey, from the very first candidate interaction to the 90-day milestone? Are you ready to attract and hire top-tier talent across the US while ensuring our operational backbone is flawless and scalable? ...then you are our perfect match!
- This role starts with a solid foundation in People Operations and Onboarding (~60%), combined with focused, full-cycle recruiting for 2–4 critical US roles (~40%). Prepare for a steep learning curve where you will flex between talent acquisition and meticulous people operations, shaping the future of GotPhoto’s US presence
- Architect the Onboarding Experience: Lead the "Day 0 to Day 90" journey for all US hires
- Master People Operations & Compliance: Maintain absolute data integrity in our HRIS, coordinate payroll touchpoints, and support US-wide compliance and documentation across all 50 states
- Drive Targeted US Talent Acquisition: Own full-cycle recruiting for 2–4 concurrent roles. You won't just post ads; you’ll manage effective recruitment processes, ensure a strong candidate experience, and act as a strategic partner to our hiring managers
- Elevate Hiring Rigor & Strategy: Coach hiring managers on structured, bias-aware interviewing, lead decisive debriefs, and use market data to influence hiring strategy
Our take
Taking professional photos for events and schools is as much an exercise in administration as it is in photography, with a gruelling and largely manual workload of organising photos, taking payments and shipping out prints eating into a photographer's time. GotPhoto exists to make this process much easier, automating promotions, sales and fulfillment, freeing the photographer to focus on their core business.
Considered the leader in its market, GotPhoto has amassed a customer base of about 4000 small-medium business and sole trader clients across the UK, US and DACH regions. While the company has had strong growth in recent years it still has a large market to grow into, with a core market that grows year on year as more photographers look into automation for their businesses.
GotPhoto was acquired by EQT Growth in 2023, providing investment for the platform's development and the addition of new features. This sets up the company to be able to tap its parent's commercial connections as it aims to grow its lead in an estimated $5 billion market.
