Role
Who you are
- Startup leadership experience as a technical co-founder, founding engineer, or early engineering leader
- Strong technical background with full-stack expertise
- Track record of building and scaling engineering teams >5-10 people
- Product-minded approach balancing technical decisions with business needs
- Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with authentication systems or API integrations is a plus
- Experience scaling developer platforms and managing high-reliability systems
What the job involves
- As Engineering Leader at Anon, you'll shape our engineering culture and execution while working closely with the co-founders
- This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical work, as you help scale our team and product during a period of rapid growth
- Drive engineering velocity, reliability, and quality through rigorous KPIs and continuous improvement
- Lead technical architecture decisions and implementation alongside our Founder/CTO
- Build scalable processes for testing, deployment, and monitoring of mission-critical systems
- Establish clear documentation and communication practices across engineering
- Coding highly technical systems & driving individual engineering projects
- Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent in a competitive market
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence
- Create growth paths for engineers and ensure consistent high performance
- Champion our in-person, collaborative culture
- Partner with founders on product strategy and technical vision
- Make key decisions on tech stack and tools that shape our engineering trajectory
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and customers
- Balance short-term execution with long-term technical strategy
Our take
As the AI revolution continues, Anon is building an automated authentication layer that will enable AI agents to complete a wider range of tasks. Basically, it enables developers to build user-permissioned integrations for sites without APIs. This will allow AI agents to authenticate and take actions for users across the internet.
By employing Anon, developers can allow their AI applications to securely integrate with the most popular sites on the internet. As mentioned, this means they can take actions on behalf of end users on these sites, supporting enhanced digital interaction.
