Role
Who you are
- A strong background in marketing analytics, with a track record of owning analytics strategy end-to-end
- Proven ownership of experimentation and measurement frameworks, designing A/B testing programmes, building attribution models, and defining the KPIs the business is measured against
- Deep, hands-on expertise across the marketing analytics stack (GA, GTM, Braze, AppsFlyer, Firebase etc.), with experience deciding which tools and tracking implementations to adopt, not just using what's already set up
- Track record of advising senior/exec stakeholders, using data to shape marketing strategy and able to challenge assumptions and influence direction, not just present findings
- Experience working autonomously in fast-paced environments, comfortable prioritising without heavy oversight
- Strong visualisation skills (Looker) with experience building self-serve dashboards/reporting used across the business, not just one-off charts
- Confident with SQL and hands-on experience contributing to modifying and maintaining data pipelines (DBT, Airflow or equivalent)
What the job involves
- Analyse marketing data to drive insights, optimise campaigns, and improve marketing effectiveness across IG's marketing initiatives
- You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to provide insights that can make significant commercial impact and be the go-to person for all things data and performance
- You’ll have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting growing community of analysts and like-minded individuals in IG that are united by a drive to innovate and shape what’s next
- Analyse marketing campaign performance across digital channels
- Provide insights on customer acquisition, LTV, attribution, engagement, and retention
- Support segmentation and targeting strategies with data analysis
- Collaborate with marketing teams to optimise campaign performance
- Build automated data pipelines and dashboards to minimise repetitive tasks and allow data self service
- Be the POC for all data related questions on Marketing and have full ownership of the domain area

Our take
Founded in 1974 by Stuart Wheeler as a UK-based spread betting company for gold, IG Group, abbreviated from Investors Gold Index, was initially set up to allow people to speculate and trade on the price change of gold without owning physical gold. And in the year 2000, it was listed on the London Stock Exchange and its gradual evolution into the world of fintech began.
By 2011, the company had played a part in numerous international buyouts before narrowing its focus down to financial wagers. During the latter half of that decade, IG shut down its binary options trading platform and focused instead on building an investment portfolio with partner BlackRock Investments, all whilst maintaining its Forex and CFD trading processes. Since then, it has become a fast-paced market leader in the investment space.
In recent years, IG Group has developed major platforms for various trading actions and has grown profit and revenue significantly. Alongside this it has acquired a number of companies, including tastytrade and Freetrade, and launched its own crypto product, making it the first UK-listed company to launch crypto trading to retail investors. This further proves how much of a staple IG Group is in the world of financial trading.
