What the job involves
- As an Intermediate Software Developer, Backend on KOHO’s Tech and Engineering team, you will be a strong contributor in the KOHO ecosystem and work with other developers to help contribute and deliver features that our users will love
- You will be working as part of a cross-functional team and driving our core features from start to finish
- You are an ambassador for KOHO and live the company’s five Values
- You will be participating in rotating on-call duties, including incident management
- You’ll work with front end developers, product and marketing to ensure we create the best features for our customers
- You will manage and implement technical designs for KOHO’s new features
- You will be owning the production operation, monitoring our system, and helping define SLAs

KOHO's impressive growth and suite of products also appeal to investors who have backed it with one of the highest levels of funding in the Canadian fintech sector. However, this hasn't completely insulated it from the turbulence in the global economy, which led to KOHO restructuring in early 2023. With 2024 debt funding now secured, it is now focused on growth, aiming to further extend its lead in the Canadian market and achieve a Schedule 1 bank licence.
