Our take
Good films and television shows have always been at the mercy of poor overdubbing when translated into foreign languages, rendered unnatural-looking and often comical. Today, many choose subtitles instead, or just skip foreign-language films entirely.
Flawless AI managed to create a craze in the Hollywood media for its flagship offering, TrueSync, a visual dubbing software which leverages AI to re-time mouth movements and create near-perfect lip-syncs in any language. Essentially, Flawless is using sophisticated deepfake technology for the good of films and TV.
TrueSync was named one of the best inventions of 2021 by TIME, while it also won an AI Tech Award for Best Neural Network Technology. It has recently attracted some big names to its leadership team, with Jen Hollingsworth of Lionsgate's motion picture group joining as Chief Commercial Officer.
