Who you are
- The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle complex budget categories, and is comfortable challenging assumptions to ensure fiscal discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related quantitative field. An MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A with an emphasis on budget management and running month end operations
- Expert level Excel/Google Sheets financial modeling skills; familiarity with ERP systems
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, including effective communication skills at all levels within the Company and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver change, improve and streamline processes, drive efficiency, and influence stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, constantly involving environments. Startup/scaleup experience is a plus

What the job involves
- Cohere seeks a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join the budget planning, forecasting, and spend management team that covers multiple high-impact areas
- This role will serve as a key finance partner to business units, providing actionable insights to drive smarter decisions and optimal financial controls
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in building and maintaining department-level budgets and company-wide forecasts, working closely with business leaders to align financial plans with operational goals
- Financial Modeling: Develop dynamic financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and operational changes
- Reporting & Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly reporting packages, analyzing variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, and communicate clear explanations to functional teams
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Engineering, Operations) to provide financial support and help drive performance
- Data & Systems Management: Leverage financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Google Sheets/Excel) to ensure data accuracy, streamline processes, and improve reporting efficiency

This isn't going unnoticed either, as the company recently raised $500M, boosting its valuation to $6.8B, and brought on board top talent from MEta and Uber to strengthen its leadership team. Alongside this, its doubled its annual recurring reveneu to $100M in 2025 and is aiming to hit $200M by year-end. With its North platform for AI agents and a lean cost structure compared with larger rivals, Cohere is very much ready for more growth.
