Who you are
- I understand the SaaS sales cycle and have experience selling and renewing SaaS accounts
- My work includes multiple approaches to prospecting and adhering to a clean sales process; I’m skilled in conducting outreach, qualifying prospects, and remaining organized
- When working with clients, I take a consultative selling approach. I ask for the next steps and get the right people in the room to facilitate successful calls and meetings
- I’ve experienced selling to individuals and teams; whether it’s a single executive or multiple stakeholders, finding alignment and getting buy-in across multiple team members is my specialty
- I’m a down-to-earth, empathetic salesperson
- My ethos is to win by displaying the value of what our product delivers to my clients, i.e., selling on value, not features/functions
- There’s no 'I' in my team. The right sales approach is collaborative selling with my team. We consult each other, remove ego, and identify the best approach together
- I’m happy to lead and give feedback in practice roles played to learn and hone my skills, celebrate other people's wins, and welcome them to celebrate in mine

What the job involves
- Conduct research and prospecting to identify potential clients and target markets within the retail industry
- Reach out to leads through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media platforms, to generate new business opportunities
- Effectively communicate our value proposition and product offerings to potential clients, clearly articulating how our resale platforms can enhance their brand's revenue and customer engagement
- Nurture and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including retail executives, e-commerce managers, and marketing professionals, to understand their needs and challenges
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies to convert leads into qualified prospects and ultimately close deals
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor analysis, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge
Our take
The secondhand fashion market is growing faster than ever due to increased consumer awareness of the positive impact it has on sustainability. However, the sale of pre-loved clothes almost always takes place on third-party marketplaces, preventing brands from capitalizing on second-hand sales and intercepting fake item sales.
Archive develops online marketplaces for brands to facilitate the resale of second-hand items, allowing them to capitalize on the growing second-hand fashion market whilst regulating the legitimacy of such sales. The marketplaces developed by the company are integrated directly within existing first-hand online stores, ensuring that brand loyalists purchase and sell directly through the brand without using external secondhand marketplaces.
Whilst platforms such as eBay, Depop, and Etsy facilitate the resale of preloved fashion items, Archive recognizes that they prevent brands from earning revenue and can lead to the sale of fake products. With 2022 funding behind it, Archive is contributing to an industry set to grow at a rate of between 10 and 15 percent a year over the next decade, and its offering to secondhand fashion markets is strong, legitimizing the sale of preloved products, and advocating for a more sustainable fashion industry.
